Carpasens / Le Prunet- Les Tomery's
Carpasens (250 Miles from Calais)
In the town of Cuy, near Pont sur Yonne are 3 waters of Carpasens owner Olivier. They are Le Prunet (39.5 acres), Les Tomery’s (17,2 acres) And L’Arche (6.1 acres). The waters all have a very good carp stock and have an azure blue color due to the light clay / gravel substrate. The waters are close to the large town of Sens, hence the name.

Regular Information
Le Prunet (39.5 acres):
The largest lake in Carpasens is a lake that was created more than 40 years ago by sand and gravel extraction. Since about 6 years it has been a payment water. The depths vary from 9.8 to 23 feet and on average it is 14.5 to 8 feet deep. The azure blue water is of perfect quality, which is guaranteed by the 15 wells in the lake. Many blood worms, crayfish, shrimp can be found here. The original file is unknown, but there are certainly some 44 pounds+ fish from the old stock present. In addition to the old stock, more than 450 carp have been released between 22 and 57 Lbs. in the last 3 years. And sturgeon between 13 and 68 Lbs. The heaviest carp in 2015 was 81 pounds and there is a good 44 pound+ carp-stock on this water.
A good number of carp above 55 pounds and 3 fish over 65 pounds makes this water a water where many records will die. We also caught several 44-pounders and even a few 55-pounders during test sessions. The average weight will soon be around 33 pounds.
The water is completely fenced and behind every swim you will find a gate with a lock. The car must be parked in the central parking lot after unloading. At PEG 1-2-3 the distance to the car is approximately 320 feet (transport cart is handy). PEG number 1, 2 and 3 are double swims.
If you are alone, you still have to pay for 2 fishermen. PEG 1 and 2 must be booked together. These swims cannot be booked separately. At all PEGS you must park the car in the central parking area after unloading. The PEGS are spacious and hardened with fine gravel. There may be some noise from the road, which runs 980 feet from the water. You also hear a train passing by regularly. Not a very easy water, because no bait boats may be used, but certainly not a very difficult water either. A little gauge can certainly give benefits. With a spod rod you can still get small bait on your spot. If you rent the Lake exclusively, then bait boats may be used and also a rowing boat.
The water is divided in two by a large long-shaped island with on both sides a passage. The toilet and shower at the clubhouse are neat. There are 3 charging points available to charge the batteries of your mobile phone etc ..
Maximum of 16 fishermen, so 2.4 acres per fisherman when the entire lake is fully booked. A shopping center at 5-minutes drive away and in a good 10 minutes you are in the large town of Sens. Daily arrival possible.
Les Tomery’s (17.2 acres):
A 5-minute drive from Le Prunet, the village of Gisy les Nobles is home to the 17-acres water of Les Tomery’s. This water is in a very quiet location, between forests and meadows. This lake has been under the management of Carpasens since the end of 2011. Les Tomery’s is also a gravel excavation and has depths of 9.8 to about 19.7 feet. About 300 carp swim on this water, the average weights between 26.5 and 35.2 Lbs. to be. Topper on this water is 61 pounds. and certainly 10 fish above 44 pounds. The soil is quite varied; trays, pits, hard parts, soft parts, shallow edge zones. Natural food such as lobsters, shrimps, crayfish etc. ensure perfect health of the fish-stock. Bait boats and rowing boats are allowed. There is a corner where you can sit very close together with 4 anglers and still fish the entire water. No shower. Only a simple toilet.
A nice water for groups of four, five or six fishermen, who want to rent a lake exclusively.
L’Arche (6.1 acres):
This natural 6 acres lake with beautifully overgrown banks is located on a 12 acres forest plot, right next to Le Prunet Lake (opposite of swim 6). It is a 40-year-old sand quarry with a depth of 11.5 feet. The water has a beautiful stock of wild and muscular carp, mainly scale carp with a weight that lies between 17.5 and 26.5 pounds. The mirror carp that were originally there weigh between 22 and 30 pounds. The owner of the lake set out 30 mirror carps with a weight of 26.5 to 44 pounds last winter, most of them between 33 and 35 Lbs. 200 Kois have also been released from 4.4 to 8.4 pounds. You will not find catfish on the lake.
You can use the facilities (excellent shower and toilet) of Le Prunet. The use of boat and bait boats is allowed. Whether you go alone or with a group of people (max. 4 people), you always have the lake to yourself. You can park the car close to your swim.
A lovely lake where you can do your own thing.
